Planetary Jam and MusicFest – Friday and Saturday nights, funky, jazz grooves from eclectic bands will play in local venues during EarthFest. There will be celebratory presentations between sets and everyone is invited to share their vision of hope and inspiration by painting it on canvas [in participating venues]. Pass the Paddle is a Proactive Celebration of the abundant resources invested in the people of Alabama. In order to celebrate this resource, EarthFest and Partners are conducting a Paddling event. Volunteers will be canoeing different sections of the waterways with the ceremonial paddle through the tributaries and channels of the Alabama Rivers. They will then pass the paddle to the next team usually on a different day.
